HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM

Let me begin this Post with YouTube clips of performances from the past – one such performance before I was born, even before Julia. I’ll finish up with a pretty good Christmas production – I know, Christmas has come and gone this year.

Million Dollar Quartet – Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis

White Rabbit

The Cowsills – Remember them from the 60s? We were in Newport, R.I., at the time, as were our long time friends, George and Kitty Williams George was still on Navy active duty then. The four of us trooped up to the Munchner King hotel one Friday night and enjoy hot toddies and whatever entertainment might be on tap. It was probably one of the first performances of the band Cowsills (their dad was a naval officer stationed in Newport).

Bee Gees and Celine Dion

Old Man River- 1936

Our 2022 Holiday Season Post

No news, good news, I guess? Barrie and I wish you the very best that this Holiday Season offers, and we are looking forward to 2023 return to some sense of normalcy.

As stated above, I have no news, but some fine (my opinion) holiday-related music clips follow (perhaps I am biased in my opinion, but it’s my Post). Kind of eclectic for a person who hardly knows what the word means.

We are headed out to northern Virginia on December 22nd for the Holidays with Lindsey and family, so this Post is the last for 2022

It Is Christmas Time for All Good TT Ex-Pats

Happy Holidays from Barrie and from me to our Tarpley’s Tavern friends whether here in FL, Virginia, NC, or wherever. I have a few XMAS clips for your holiday enjoyment, all music (sorry Fred, no woodworking). The first clip features Cassandra Star and sister Callahan singing once again a Christmas tribute to the season to the tune of Hallelujah. This is a repeat rendition of their performance that I brought to you a year ago.

Next, newcomers Caleb and Kelsey bring you yet another performance of “Hallelujah” to lyrics of the season.

The next two clips are of a group calling themselves the Piano Guys doing their take on Christmas instrumentals. Following on the heels of the Piano Guys is a rendition of “O Holy Night” by Celtic Woman and the classic “Drummer Boy”.

Closing out our little Holiday Concert is a performance of “Gloria in Excelsis Deo ” by the Piano Guys fronting a cast of hundreds.

Enjoy.

My (XMAS) Post of December 24, 2020

Barrie and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and hope and pray that 2021 brings us literally together, rather than virtually. Its been a long year, but one that is hopefully a harbinger of a joyful and healthy 2021.

Joyful as well are the following Christmas performances found on YouTube – for your Christmas Eve enjoyment.
