HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GENERAL TODAY

Funston

In addition to the birthday above, I have 1 photo and 2 YT clips.

The photo is the first such one anonymously forwarded to this Blog – King Fred

The first clip is of a HS marching band – a little upscale from your typical HS football marching band (except for TX I think)

The last clip is the performance of a Korean A Capella group on America’s Got Talent – cute.

Housekeeping – Volleyball

Ever hear of Yuji Nashita? I hadn’t either, but I admit that I don’t follow volleyball. The guy is terrific. Added to the Sports Page.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA

Play Me

To begin with, lets go back in time to hear, remember, and appreciate the trumpet of Satchmo and the voice of Ella

Two nature videos for a Tuesday

Remembering our terrific dinners and entertainment at the CH Clubhouse

Finally, I have added at the end of the AGT (America’s Got Talent) page a nice rendition of Elton John’s ”Rocketman” by Sara James; and at the end of the Flo Lum recipe page her version of North Shore Hawaii Food Truck Garlic Shrimp – who could possibly pass up on Food Truck shrimp. We tried on it on 9/2, and it was good and easy to make – beware of the garlic, however.

Barrie and I are in St. Augustine visiting long time (since 1976) friends Jeff and Kathryn Michael, folks who have many locations and homes over the 40+ years. While here we are also going to pop in and look at the St. Augustine Westminster CRCC – just looking. Returning to Fort Myers either today or tomorrow.

Four clips for your enjoyment today: 1) America’s Got Talent dance routine; 2) Yet another dance routine that I understand the TT ladies will be undertaking soon; 3) A world record eagle flight; and 4) a look back to a delightful get-together of Tom Jones and Luciano Pavarotti.

l would like to bring to attention, if you are interested or if you are bored, to a very recent graduation address at Hillsdale College given by one of my heroes in life, the tool man, Tim Allen. You can see the address (it’s 45 minutes long) on YouTube at https://youtu.be/C27HG6af3-k. Watching the video reminded me that I always wanted to see the movie Galaxy Quest which can be rented on Amazon Prime for $3.99

More from “America’s Got Talent”. This time it is two 13-year olds with voices beyond their years. At the end is a video of the Oak Ridge Boys singing “Amazing Grace” at the funeral of President George H. W. Bush. Enjoy. ????
