My blog was down a few days while I was transferring domain name to Bill2va.com. I’ve also been busy the past week or so with a project that can only be undertaken during the COVID-19 quarantine – consolidating all of the digital photographs that we have taken or collected from others the past several years – almost 2000 files. That project just beat out COVID-19 by a hair. Continue reading

My Post of September 25, 2020
A friend sent us some photos that arrived in today’s mail. All of the photos sent were taken at a change of command event on Guam when I became the CO of the legal command. One in particular caught our collective eyes and the words to express that photos are:
My God, how young we were!
That’s all folks.
My Post of September 19, 2020
I said in the beginning that I like to Post random (aka silly) thoughts, so here goes. Walked into my closet this morning (actually it’s her closet but I have been deeded a one-fourth share). I looked at all of my nice shirts, trousers, shorts, and shoes and thought to myself that I might not be able to give them (clothes) the opportunity to be seen outside the closet. It’s a shame. Perhaps I am going to dress up for my Wal-Mart pickup runs and doctors’ appointments.
The good news is that I might get back to golf.

We all remember . . . 19 years ago today. Who could possibly forgot?
Nice visit with Fred and Sue today:
Barrie and I are saddened by the death of our brother-in-law, Alan, my sister’s husband, last night.

Off to see the Biels, face masks and face shields at the ready.
My Post of September 9, 2020
Quick and easy. If you are not already aware, there is some football on the Telly this weekend.
My Post of September 8, 2020
Worry not, I’ll not be blogging that frequently.
I regret that in my 9/6/20 Post I did not say how much I have appreciated your support over the last six months, and what an angel (sometimes a tough angel) Barrie (and Lindsey) has been for and to me through recovery and COVID-19. Angel with a devil?
Some other random thoughts for the day:
- I could subsist on Prosciutto alone, forget about bread (except, of course you are having soup that night for dinner).
- Command hooks are the best invention ever. Give me two square inches of non-public space in the house and you will find a Command hook.
- When the TT ladies on their Tom-Toms, ask Barrie about the nice dentist I befriended in the ICU. Oops! I said I would not talk about hospitals, but as long as I am on the subject, I have to say that hospital food is not as good as the food at Francesco’s Ristorante.
- You know what always reminds me what CH parties were all about? Brooks and Dunn Boot Scooting Boogie!
- Let me finish up this Post with the below TT Ex-Pats photo:
I sincerely hope any gadgets that I have embedded work as I would like them to.
Bye for now.
So this is it . . . a Blog
Some time ago, I let you know in various means of communication that I was going to create a blog to further tie together the TT Ex-Pats living here in Florida. Not just any Ex-Pats, of course, but those who lived within shouting range of Julia’s Circle Garden. I really thought that I knew what a blog is, and its purpose. I was wrong!
I thought that a blog was merely another form of communication. Guess I should have checked first with Carolyn Mason first. I learned that the traditional purpose of a blog is for the administrator of the blog to communicate important things, like recipes, philosophy, photography, etc.
Well, I guess if I want to administer a blog, I will have to create and administer a non-traditional blog because I never have any important information to import to blog followers. So this blog will consist of posts that reflect what is in my silly mind at the time. As the “About the Blog” page shows, I have been warned by the Queen that nobody really wants to read about my inane thoughts, and to be careful as to what I post. And to please another blog follower, the posts will not be “a little more than objectionable” No politics, no religious, no nose hairs, no hospital tales. Just clean stupid stuff.
So this is the first Post for the TT Ex-Pats. Some of my thoughts that appear below in this Post
I do realize that some of the TT Ex-Pats, but not all, would question a Blog. Why have a Blog when you can just pick up your Iphone and text one another (which causes a cacophony of noise when the Tom-Toms are busy).
Feel free to use the power of your Comments to chirp your reaction to any of my Posts, or use the Comment just say (write) what’s on your mind at the time of my Post. Please! It’ll make me happy and feeling important. Humor me!
And by the way, I just downloaded 1204 photos from Barrie’s Iphone that date back to 2007.
- Where is the science behind the notion that a male’s DNA renders him unable to see dirt?
- Why is that Carol and Barrie always drive? Where is the science behind the thinking that Rich and Bill are “jerky” drivers.
- Do you agree with me that Costco has dumbed down its Kirkland brand of TT – it’s flimsy.
Bye bye! FYI, Barrie tonight got spiffed up to go out to dinner. Drove to Deep Lagoon, picked up our fried clams, came home to eat them.
